Documents 3.0

Documents goes Chromium  …

Since Opera 15 got released to the public already, it's about time to make Documents compatible.

You will notice, that the options page got way smaller than it used to be in Presto-based Opera versions. This is due to the fact, that Opera 15+ is a lot less configurable and there's no way for me at the moment to implement what was formerly known as "extended mode".

Additionally, I didn't implement a context menu entry. Given that nobody complained about it, it seems unnecessary to me.

Being in line with Opera's new philosophy announced in today's Desktop Team blog post, it now is more of a "it just works"-extension doing its magic in the background while you keep surfing the web.

Since trying it for yourself says more than a thousand words, you can grab a copy and try it:

Tell me what you think about it

PS: Documents now is on Transifex, too πŸ˜‰

  9. Evgeny writes:Hi. Your Documents extension for Opera seems very usefull. But I've found a bug while using it along with Redirect Bypasser. When one clicks on the small icon in the corner of a small image on some Wikipedia page to enlarge this picture (SVG format) your extension prevents the enlargement process. Instead of this I can see an open blank page from Google Docs with an error message.

Well, I suggest you simply turn off svg-files in settings. Can you give me an example-url where this happens?

Over and over again *sigh*It's an online documents viewer

  13. Thanks for the great extension. One issue I found is that when I open a page which has a link to the pdf file in dropbox (e.g., https://www.dropbox.com/s/something/test.pdf), the extension adds “https://docs.google.com/viewer?docex=1&url=” in front of the link and when I click on it it opens the html page in Dropbox, not the actual pdf file.

    • Thanks for letting me know.
Documents doesn’t work with all kinds of websites that require you to login. I guess that’s causing your issue.
Maybe a redirect-check will solve this issue… I’m gonna check this out sometime. No ETA, though (I’m pretty busy right now).
